Community Music

Connect · Communicate · Create

We Create Music Together

My work is to make the enjoyment of music accessible to all, working with every challenge to achieve an enjoyable experience and rewarding results.

My aim is to support wellbeing through creative and person-centred music-making, providing a space to grow and learn.

My passion is enabling others to connect, communicate, and to be creative.

Playing the Piano

Over and above...

I go the extra mile to provide the best possible experience. In order to give the widest variety of resources at the lowest cost, I run a library for students at an average cost of £15 per year giving access to hundreds of resources and saving students large costs in buying music books. I am constantly investing in expanding this library of resources for students to have the best possible access to quality education.

Lessons are held in a peaceful music studio, and students get to play on a beautifully maintained acoustic Yamaha, with an accompanying electric piano for teacher's demonstration.

A desk, laptop, and microphone are also available for simple recordings or academic work, and the studio can be made available as a practice space on request.

Parents are welcome to sit in on lessons, drop off, or wait outside.

Meet the teacher

Teacher, mentor, musician, and creative, I put every ounce of creative energy and enthusiasm into my teaching. I trained for three years at JRNCM, followed by continued training in performance and teaching gaining a DipABRSM, and lots of experience in various settings working with music and healthcare support.

Piano Lesson

Listen to the Students

" I learnt more in my first half-hour lesson with Hephzibah than in the previous three years of learning."

Student age 15

"I would highly recommend Hephzibah as a Music Theory tutor. My son, Daniel was struggling and had lost motivation when it came to working for his Grade 5 Music Theory exam. After just a few 1-1 sessions with Hephzibah Daniel was back on track, motivated and more confident. He went on to achieve a great result and earned a Merit in his exam. Thanks to Hephzibah."

Carole Reed

"We are so grateful for Hephzibah's patient and clear instruction. She's teacher to our 7 year old and 14 year old. Lessons are looked forward to, and practicing happens because they love their teacher! She explains things clearly and is helpful when they have challenges."
